About Merritt
Textile Designer
Working as a CAD Artist in the Fashion industry since 2007- Merritt is currently freelancing for USPA in Mens, Womens, Kids and Home divisions. Working over the years for companies such as White House Black Market, Kohls, Anthropologie, Victoria's Secret, Wal-Mart, and more has required her to keep a flexible style. She loves a flat graphic illustrative file - but also does watercolor & gouache originals to be translated into seamless designs. Mainly working in Adobe programs after hand drawing her designs, she loves to play with bold colorful prints and whimsical novelty subject matter.
Muralist
Prior to moving to NYC and beginning her fashion career, Merritt opened a Mural company back in 2005 and worked mainly on interior walls. Now having completed over 15 murals around the area- she also gives talks about the local mural scene. She is always looking to fill her calendar with wonderful new projects so please reach out now to book a complimentary visualization of your Idea!
Special Projects
Never one to settle for doing the same thing over and over, Merritt is always working something new. From curating the Still Shining Exhibit as part of the 2024 Arts Annual Hurricane Fundraiser- she was thrilled to see 15 of the 24 paintings sell- and be a part of raising $20K for the community.
She's also taken part of the Mindful Muralists group gathered by Zulu Painter. Creating these incredible murals around town for those who deserve it the most, This Dali Inspired backdrop is peppered with actual kids drawings from the Summer Camp and can be found at the Campbell Park Rec Center Art Room!
